Goethe-Institute German Exams at WashU
Since 2025 the Program in Germanic Languages and Literatures has been an external examination location (EPO) for the Goethe-Institute German language exams.
The Goethe-Institute exams are internationally recognized as proof of German language proficiency. We are proud to be one of the few locations in the Midwest to offer these exams.
We currently offer exams for the following proficiency levels: A1, B1, B2, and C1.
The next exam dates at WashU are:
- February 20, 2027 for B1, B2, C1
- May 8, 2027 for A1
