Congratulations to CL&T PhD student Tolú Daniel on the forthcoming publication of his essay collection, Exodus: Essays, with CavanKerry Press in March 2027. The book features a foreword by Gerald Early.

In Exodus, Daniel explores memory, migration, grief, and the fragile idea of home through essays that move between Abeokuta, Kansas, and St. Louis. Drawing on childhood memories, family histories, political unrest, displacement, and the aftermath of Nigeria’s #EndSARS protests, the collection examines the complexities of exile, belonging, and diasporic life.

Please join us in congratulating Tolú on this exciting achievement!
